Baby Steps Through Motherhood

Read through and check out the pics below on the few posts. We have done a lot since I last put pics up so I wanted to update. Enjoy. Preston is in Awanas this year. He is a Cubbie. He is loving it and does a wonderful job learning his bible verse each week. This was my attempt at getting a pic at his earning his first patch.

As in a past post I said we got to go to Worlds of Fun. Preston was a brave boy. Not much scared him. Naomi was pretty brave too. We treated ourselves to a funnel cake. Josh’s reasoning was since we didn’t get to ride any rides we may as well get to eat something yummy.

Naomi didn’t have the greatest time here but Preston sure did. It was fun and they actually WON!!!! It was the first year they had the kids area open and grandpa got the a carosel ride. Can you believe it? Preston wanted to go see slugger and he even let him pick him up and tickle him. This is the boy who used to be scared of the Easter Bunny!

We are in our new home. It is starting to come together. I have been so so blessed by our gracious friends and family in this whole process. Thank you to anyone who helped us out in numerous ways….babysitting our kids, helping pack, helping unpack, helping load, helping unload, financially, helping me organize, and lots more. We have been more than blessed and I am reminded of it every time I see progress taking place in our new home.

We have been here for just over 2 weeks now. The kids room and living room is organized. The kitchen is getting there. It is put away but seems to still be the dump all of the random things and projects going on. Our room is another story as well as the garage and basement but at least we can live here and not feel completely overwhelmed by boxes.

I will post pics sometime when I get them taken. I think we are going to love it. Preston says his favorite part is the basement. I agree that it is a lot of nice useable space down there. Now, they just have to learn to play down there without me and life will be good.

Preston and Naomi are learning to live together…in the same room. Preston gets to be on the top bunk which is so fun for him. Naomi wants to show everyone her bed which is no different from before except Preston is above her.

Makenna finally has a crib instead of a pack and play and is sitting up in it when she wakes up from her naps. Time is flying by. She is trying to crawl but not so sure yet. She will get on all 4s and pump but doesn’t move yet. That is fine with me.

Josh has been busy changing all the brass stuff that was in the house to silver or nickel stuff. It is starting to take shape and we will be able to call it our home.

Thanks to all who have thought and prayed for us during this transition. We are excited about it. I think it will be a good place to stay for a while.
